During 2009/10 a number of NHS Service Contracts came up for renewal across the East Midlands. In order that the BMA regional database can be updated, I wonder if you would confirm which contracts your PCT renewed, who was awarded a contract, and when the next renewal date is? Specifically, I am interested in instances where service contract have been awarded to private providers ahead of existing NHS providers. |

1. In relation to the PCTs joint decision to contract admin work out to SBS, can you please specify precisely what information on data subjects (ie Joe Public) you intend to share by making it accessible to sub-contractors in India. 2. Please advise of when you plan to ask data subjects if they are prepared to let this personal data be accessed by others from outside the EEU. 3. What arrangements are in hand for dealing with the data of those data subjects who have already expressed their anxiety about having their data shared without their permission - bearing in mind that in Derby alone over 1000 people signed the petition about this. 4. On the East Midlands Politics show Sunday 12 September your Chairman Mark Todd said quite clearly that there would no call centres in India processing calls, that that work would be done locally and possibly by some of the people doing the job at the moment. Can you confirm that this is the case. 5. On the East Midlands show Sunday 12 September your Chairman Mark Todd said quite clearly that he did not know how many people would be made redundant but then went on to confirm that 65 jobs will be retained. How many posts will be deleted as a result of this contracting arrangement. 6. Please explain how the PCT can quantify a saving of £9M over six years when the PCT has only two years remaining. |

For each of the Trust’s listed Procedures of Limited/Low Clinical Value (alternatively known as Low Priority Procedures or other similar headings), I would like the Trust to provide me: - Name of procedure - HRG code - HRG description - 2010/11 activity - 2011/12 planned activity - 2011/12 forecast activity Ideally I’d like the information provided in an xls Excel spreadsheet. I have attached a spreadsheet as an example. It is assumed that referrals with complications are excluded. Within this request, ‘activity’ refers to secondary care activity commissioned by the Trust. If the Trust provides figures for forecast activity, please state the most recent month for which actual activity figures have been confirmed. If the Trust does not hold figures for forecast activity, please state the year-to-date activity and the date to which the figures are correct. This request excludes: - procedures classified as cosmetic/aesthetic - alternative therapies (e.g. aromatherapy, homeopathy, acupuncture etc) This request includes procedures that will only be commissioned if patients take adopt certain lifestyle changes (e.g. stop smoking courses, reduced BMI etc). Please highlight/list separately (but still provide figures for): - procedures that were added to the list of Procedures of Limited Clinical Value since the start of May 2010, or where the restriction/threshold has been revised since the start of May 2010 (this only applies where the addition/restriction is a local decision, not a NICE directive) - procedures that are restricted solely on the basis of NICE guidelines specific to each procedure (as opposed to general overarching NICE principles)

What is the current net book value of all property assets (leasehold and freehold) used for administrative functions? And, what is the current net book value of all property assets (leasehold and freehold) used to provide services, except where the majority occupant is another NHS trust or NHS foundation trust? For clarity – where a building is leasehold, I’m only interested in the value if it shows up on your balance sheet. |
